SPRINGTIME

Five more sleeps and it will be SPRING....  I have enjoyed winter in Brisbane.
I did venture down to Melbourne (where I grew up) and really felt the cold and remembered as a child always rugging up and my Mum saying "have you got your vest on, make sure you cover your kidneys".  (I miss you Mum xx)

Looking at the photo's above I am looking forward to spending my weekend afternoons sitting outside and enjoying the outdoors.

Tradesman/University????

Black and White Foot Stool (I was very impressed)

Side Table (was placed by my son in the middle of the family room) he was so proud of his work.  I left it there for a week but had to move it, I think it looks better as a side table than a coffee table!

 

Tray (given to me for Mother's day) I love showing off his work!!!

I love my teacup set which was given to me by  my beautiful friend Michele in Melbourne, in memory of her Mum (Aunty Babe)!

It is that time of the year where students of Year 10 need to choose subjects for Year 11.  My son is not quite sure what he would like to do, he loves woodwork (and I love receiving his gifts), but this subject does not help him getting into Uni        

 " Mum",  he said "what do you think I should do"?  Do you think I should do Carpentry or maybe I should go to Uni....? 

Whatever his decision (with a little help from his dad and I) I am sure he will do well!

Hot Air

Good morning,

I woke this morning thinking of what a beautiful day to be in a  Hot Air Balloon and to our surprise, right outside my bedroom window the Sirromet Balloon came past, I ran to get my Camera and you would not believe it but there was no charge in the battery.  Mia and Steve (my beautiful husband) were waving to the people in the basket, whilst I was running around the house like a mad women,  waking up the boys looking for their cameras and of course they were not where they were supposed to be.  Well the camera is charging and hopefully next weekend I may be able to take my own photograph!

Oh how I love Saturday mornings, making a cup of tea for my husband and I, taking it back to bed, with a armful of my favourite magazines and just flicking through the gorgeous pages for an hour or so.  Then my beautiful children join us for a cuddle and a chat and then it's off to sport for the rest of day.

Beautiful Butterflies

I posted this picture as my very close friend, daughter and I spent last weekend in beautiful Melbourne.  We decided to visit the Zoo, it was absolutely freezing so we headed for the Butterfly enclosure where we knew it was warm and we could escape the cold.  It was quite magical looking at these gorgeous colourful creatures.
