We are off to "Port Fairy"  a gorgeous quaint town in Victoria for our Christmas Holidays.  We are packing up the car and driving down.  My big boys are not to happy about the road trip as we have done it soooo many times since they were little.  We have no real plans but we will stop on the way and just take our time.  Steve's Mum and brother  live in Port Fairy.  Ann has a beautiful old home with so much character and history I look forward to spending time there.  She used to run a Bed and Breakfast from her home but I think after about 10 years she said it was time to have the home just for her.   Ann has a huge Fig tree in her front garden and every year there is the "Port Fairy Folk Festival" where people come and sit under the tree and listen to live music.  Port Fairy has a great community spirit.  Maybe one day we will live there!

Birthday Party cont....

Well the party was a huge success, Mia felt so much better,  when she woke on Saturday morning, she said " you are right Mum, I do feel better today"

Mia and her friends partied all afternoon and into the evening.  Sam, Mia's brother was the DJ (for part of the party) which was a lot of fun for the girls.   Alexander and his (friend helped with the party games.  Everyone was exhausted by the end (including me). 

Off to Mia's Swimming carnival today!

Birthday time....

It is Mia's Birthday Party tomorrow, the poor thing has been sick all week.  I said we "might have to postpone your party", she said she will be o.k tomorrow, fingers crossed she is! 

  Mia is born 2 days after Christmas so we always try to do something before the end of the year with her friends so she feels special and does not miss out as everyone is on holidays (including us)!

We are having a Disco Party, wow the trouble I had trying to get a Disco Ball for this Saturday afternoon was looking to be a non event but we finally found one.

My boys are DJ's (I hope they get into the swing of it), they are five and seven years older than Mia.  Their idea on music and Mia's are quite different, I am sure  it will all work out. I can't believe the gorgeous party decorations you can buy now, we have lots and lots of pink.   Well here is to a great 9th Birthday Party.  I will post pics next week.

THE RUSTIC LOOK!!

I love Rustic Dining Tables, I actually have one, it took me years to find.   It can seat up to twelve people.  What I really love about it, is we can have all of my family sit at it for Christmas, which means a lot to me!

 I have not blogged for awhile as I have been saddened by the death of my very close friends father.  His funeral was last week, it was a lovely day as funerals go.  I found it extremely hard as the funeral was at the same place we had our Mum's funeral last year.  (I miss you Mum)

Our dear friends went on a holiday to  Bali and brought us back some new cushions.  I just love the vibrance!  The plain pink and green cushions are from Ikea.  I think our daybed looks much more inviting!
