First School Camp

I had to share this photo with you,  my beautiful little Mia went on School Camp yesterday for the first time.  She was very excited and quite anxious.
Her teacher sent me this photo of Mia, she had just climbed to the top of a Giant Swing.  This is a break through for us because she is not one to do challenging things.  I text back and congratulated her and said when we put our minds to anything we can do it.
We have been very fortunate this year to have a teacher that has brought out the best in Mia and to be so thoughtful and kind. We can't believe the difference in Mia's confidence at school and we really have to thank her teacher for bringing out the best in Mia.

I miss you Mia, I miss your singing, Alexander said last night "would you like me to sing for you Mum?"  I said yes and could you dance around the house as well.  It was way too quite for me!.

Happy Weekend and thank you for all your beautiful comments and following my blog! xxx

Noosa

Beach house in Noosa!  Love the ceiling and all the white!

We are off to Noosa for the weekend.  All three boys/men in my life are competing in the Noosa Triathlon.  Steve (hubbie) is doing the swim, my big boy Alexander is riding and Sammy boy is running.    It is wonderful that they are doing something as a team!   I have never been to Noosa when the Triathlon has been on.  I just can imagine Noosa to be buzzing all weekend and a lot of fun and excitement to be had!
Is anyone going up?

Happy Wednesday!

Camping cont....

So cute, this would do me!

Look what you can buy!  (this was not at the RNA showgrounds,)

Camping saga continued...

All three men in my life and myself went to the Caravan and Camping Sale.  Phew it was overwhelming, I cannot believe how expensive caravans are and what they offer.  You can get LCD Tv's inside and out, washing machines, luxury bathrooms the list is endless....  I said to the boys "come on we are here to look at camper trailers".  We found them and they are expensive, they started from $9,000.00 to $24,000 (with all the bells and whistles) but of course only if you buy it TODAY!  Hubbie could not get away, we learnt quite a bit about camper trailers, he was impressed, "just think where we could go in one of these" he says!
Well I think I would be happy with a tent!

Enjoy today!

Camping

We are off to the caravan and camping sale today and I am a little excited.  I love looking at tents.  You probably think how can that be exciting but every camping holiday I and my family have had has always been memorable.  I have been talking to hubbie for years about buying a Camper Trailer, I am not sure if that is what he has in mind but no harm in looking!

Enjoy your weekend!

Console Table

My gorgeous friend Ms B, has asked me to help her change a few things and buy some new pieces for her beautiful home.  Ms B bought this mirror a few months ago.  Two weeks ago I was in James Street and visited French and English.  I saw this Console Table and thought of Ms B's mirror and new it would just look gorgeous with it.  I phoned Ms B and said " I am sooo excited I have found you a Console Table"  I did say you have to come and have a look before I buy it for you.  Well she raced in before school pickup, loved it, so I bought it the next day and here it is.  I will have more pic's to show as we go.

Wishing you a HAPPY weekend!

Staying on track

This is what I should be doing!

but instead I am dreaming.....

and end up looking at beautiful places like this!

Do you find it hard sitting behind a desk and being on task?   Well I do especially now that I am working from home.  I become distracted reading beautiful and interesting blogs, looking through magazines, drinking tea and googling.

I guess it has only been for a few weeks since I left my other job and I feel like I am on holidays.

I promise I will stay focused on the tasks I am supposed to be doing!

Enjoy today!

Home for Sale....

My beautiful friend Mimi's home is for SALE in Melbourne.  Mimi's family have painstakingly renovated their beautiful home over the past few years.  Our families have had many fun times here and I will really miss their home.   Every year we stay at Mimi and Rusty's home when we visit Melbourne.
When you walk in to their home it is like walking into a resort and you never feel like leaving!
Click HERE to view their home on video.  When I watched the video on Saturday night I could not help but cry maybe it is the music that is playing but it certainly was overwhelming for me!

We wish you all our love and best wishes Mimi and Rusty for a great outcome!

Happy Monday!

My New Lamp!

This Chair and Ottoman was Mum's which I got recovered in Velvet (I love it).

I bought this lamp two days ago, I could not help myself!  My hubbie keeps telling me don't buy anything until we move back into out home but I could not resist!

I think it is going to be a stormy day in Brissie!

Enjoy your weekend!

Sea Green

Source-Pinterest

I just came across this picture this morning and had to put this up on my blog.  I love the colour of the dress and against the backdrop of the sea it has a calm feel to it,  just makes me want to go to the beach.  Instead I will be working and this afternoon helping my big boy to get ready for his Semi-Formal (how exciting).  I spoke to his friends mother last (the girl who he is taking to the Semi),  she has two daughters and this is their 7th Semi/Formal they have done.  Of course having girls they get their hair done and makeup where as Alex just needs to get dressed and I guess he will do something with his hair.
Can you tell I am a little excited!

Have a wonderful Monday!

Happy weekend to you!

Planning to move back..

Back of our home

We are planning to move back to our home next year! Yipee  I am soooo excited!  We can't stop talking about what we can do with the kitchen area.  We would like to open up the kitchen to the pool area.  I should not get ahead of myself, just moving back is enough for me.

Enjoy your day!

Plain and Simple....

I was feeling quite irritable before as I just received a huge mobile bill.  I recently changed my mobile plan and was told there was no fee to be charged, well of course that is not the case I have been charged an extra $287.00.  I immediately phoned the company and they can't help me I have to go the retailer where I upgraded from.

I was so mad until I came across this gorgeous saying "Love is all you need",  I seemed to calm down as I looked around at my beautiful children and thought this is LOVE!

Have a lovely evening!

SURPRISE!

Matchbox car

Surprise!

New Farm Park

You probably guessed from the last post, YES it is a car.  We were lucky enough to be given by Steve's mum her car, she lives in a beautiful country town (Port Fairy) and walks everywhere so she decided she no longer needs her car.  We offered to buy it from her but she just wanted to give it to Steve to pass on to Alexander.  We got it sent up on a truck, we re-registered it and had to get two new tyres.  Oh and insure it, now that is expensive.

Steve parked the car in his car park in the city for a few days.  Alexander awoke on his birthday to a matchbox car, I had stuck the key to the back of it but he did not get it.  I said come on we need to get ready we are going into the city ( I was sooo excited),  we arrived at the car and said SURPRISE HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALEXANDER!  He could not believe it was for him.  He said I feel this is Surreal mum.

The boys, Mia and I  spent the afternoon at New Farm Park, that evening we had our family come for dinner which was a hoot.  We reminisced about the boys when they were little and how I would take them to New Farm Park after their sleeps to skim stones along the river (I miss those days).  That night Alexander came into our room when I was lying in bed and he said to me "thank you Mum" today was the best birthday I have had and I don't mean receiving a car I mean spending time with you at New Farm Park.

Sorry for going on but we all had a wonderful day!

Enjoy your Sunday!
